Dancing divine residing in the heart   In this poem, our Saint Thirumoolar sings with love how God (Nataraja) embraced him with his blessings.   அடங்காத என்னை அடக்கி அடிவைத்து அடங்காத என்னை அடக்கி – God controlled me, disciplining my wavering mind, and my naughty five senses. அடிவைத்து – placing His lotus feet on my head by coming down as my teacher. இடம்காண் பரானந்தத் தேஎன்னை இட்டு இடம்காண் – God who is always searching for most suitable time to come down and occupy the human heart. பரானந்தத்தே   - that divine bliss when God comes to reside in our hearts என்னை இட்டு – God made me ecstatic. நடந்தான் செயும்நந்தி நன்ஞானக் கூத்தன் நடந்தான் செயும்   - God (Nataraja) who is dancing;   நந்தி நன்ஞானக் கூத்தன் – God (Nataraj) displays the wisdom of true knowledge in the dancing form. படம்தான்செய்து உள்ளுள் படிந்திருந் தானே படம்தான்...

Vision of the Divine Teacher     In our religious text, the basic policy is that lord comes down as a teacher and feeds us the wisdom. This is also the basis for worshipping the monk (acharya) of the mutt as the lord and using his guidance as the key open the lock to get wisdom. Our Saint nicely clarifies this truth.   The training to get wisdom is to learn to see (or watch) the lord who comes in the form of a teacher to shower his grace. The say the name of the teacher, to listen to the teacher’s words, and to keep the teacher’s form always in our meditation – all these are ways to get the true wisdom. Our Saint sings this so nicely.   In this song, the word தெளிவு refers to that wisdom.
